Hi

I've just gotten the new Calamus 2000. So far so good and I'll wait for the English manual before asking some kind of questions.
However, when I load the program - It loads but the SL Logo is obscured by color lines.
When running the program, sometimes random lines of color appear - I can redraw the screen and they disappear - However if I am trying to change a text or raster areacolor the random color lines obsure the dialogue.

I use a Hades machine - Anyone know what this could be about?

Hi David, I had the same kind of problem with my Hades + Calamus 2000.
Try this :with a text editor, open the CALAMUS.SET file and change the NoTransparencies to "On" (make a backup copy of the file first !).
This had solved a part of the problem only because I still can't see neither the blue Calamus 2000 logo at start-up nor the colour wheel in the colour editing dialog box.
Hope you are luckier than me...

This is not the solution for the mentioned problem.

If you run a Hades machine, you will probably use a graphics card by Nova, ET4000 or stuff.
Please check the color DEPTH!!

Calamus SL2000 only supports 256c and TrueColor (32 bit!). Sometimes we meet freaks in the support hotline who swear that True Color has no more than only 24 bit. - If you find a MENU.PRG in your Hades AUTO folder, this will be the installation tool from NOVA for your screen resolution and color depth. Try 256c first, then TrueColor.

SL2000 works fine on my favorite Hades 060 machine ...

Hi Jerry

I have the ATI Graphics card for my Hades. As do many people who are not having problems.
I have found that if I use the NOVA driver for the earlier graphics card then I have no problems, either with using the color wheel or accessing the Line Art dialogues. Of cours this slows mywhole system down, so I set up a special boot option in X-Boot for when I'm running SL and using Line ART. I will try your solution and see what happens.
