Hello,

I recieved some 16-bit graysscale tiff image. For some reason these pictures aren't imported quite well in Calamus SL2006 R8
I only get a frame filled with gray.
See <URL:https://dl.dropbox.com/u/9684413/problem_tif.jpg>
The original picture can be found here:

Is this a know problem?
I use tiff.cxr 7.12

Thanks,
Martin

Calamus can´t handle 16bit dept afaik.
Convert the pictures with Photoshop to 8bit.
GIMP can do it too afaik.

8 bit RGB = >16 Million colors (256*256*256)
printable are just around 5,000 different colors (CYMK colors mixed in offset).

Ok thanks.

Converting the pictures is not a big deal.
I was just puzzled why Calamus couldn't handle this kind of pictures.

Christoph was right. TIFFIE isn't able to support 16-bit channels because Calamus isn't.
