Every time you use My Calamus you get lots of warnings about the out of date ssl certificate.

Hi Tim.

I cannot see that the SSL certificate is out of date as it is valid until Sep 10, 2004.

We use a "house-made" SSL certificate as we do not want to pay silly fees to companies who then tell your browser that our site has an SSL encryption port installed.

Different browsers handle SSL certificates in different ways. Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE) tells bullshit when informing you that the security certificate was set up by a company that you do not trust.

You did never inform MSIE that you do not trust invers Software, did you?

But you can tell MSIE to trust our certificate and be quiet in future, like many real browsers like e.g. Mozilla do (which even gives you much more detailled informations).

If you use MSIE, click on "Show Certificate", then click on "Install Certificate..." and install the certificate as you like it.

I wonder why MSIE does not treat this certificate like others.

If you want to get rid of this silly stuff, remove the "s" in the https link to https://www.calamus.net/login.php.
