How to exchange text files with Windows applications

Posted by Ulf Dunkel
I was under the impression that Calamus 2000 would allow me to use the Windows clipboard. Was I wrong? If it is possible, how is it done?

The Windows Clipboard can be used for text exchange with Eddie full version only. If you cannot use it, the WindowsPack installation has made a little mistake for sure.

Please check this:<ol><li>Call the Windows Registry Editor (regedit).<li>Search for "Seneca" (Ctrl-F).<li>Open the complete Seneca key. You will see at least: Seneca/STEmulator/Calamus/</B<li>You will find at least 3 subkeys ending on PATH: ACCPATH, AUTOPATH, HOMEPATH.</B<li>If they contain the string "<Targetdir>", the installation has done wrong.<li>Please replace this string with the complete access path to Calamus.EXE, e.g. "Ctongue sticking out smileyrogram FilesMGICalamus SL2000 us".
</OLThen you will see that Calamus.EXE creates a folder like"Ctongue sticking out smileyrogram FilesMGICalamus SL2000 usCLIPBRD" the next time you start it. Now you will be able to exchange text files from Eddie editor windows to Windows text applications and vice versa.

Good luck.
